If it bleeds, it leads–and this crimson-veined fittonia is sure to be the ‘Breaking News’ in your collection! ’Breaking News’ has heavy red veining that really pops in contrast to the dark green leaf margins. The ovate leaves have edges that are ever-so-slightly ruffled. Like other nerve plants, ‘Breaking News’ will stay relatively compact and creep in a low-growing habit.

Meet Igneous® 'Garnet Stream™' ( Aglaonema ), a Chinese Evergreen that lives up to its gemstone name. Glossy, ovate leaves flush deep garnet and burgundy down the center, streaked with rosy-pink veining and bordered in rich forest green, like a vein of garnet stone catching the light. Give it low to medium, bright indirect light to keep that garnet blush at its richest, and let the soil dry out between waterings. Compact and easy-care, 'Garnet Stream' brings a jewel-toned glow to your shelf or windowsill.
This blushing philodendron, known as Prismacolor ‘Fall Leaves’ embodies the vibrance of fall, all year-round. Bright red stems grow in an upright, clumping habit, and push out new spade-shaped leaves that gradually change from red to amber to green over time–just like an autumnal masterpiece! Like other philodendrons, an occasional spray of leaf shine will keep your ‘Fall Leaves’ looking its best.
Rise and shine with ‘Dappled Morning,’ the cane begonia that will bring a burst of brightness into your space. ‘Dappled Morning’ features unusual, asymmetrical, wing-shaped leaves of rich green growing atop bamboo-like canes. Leaves are dotted with silvery spots that sparkle like dewdrops at dawn. You may also find 'Dappled Morning' to have even more of these bright spots than your typical "Polka Dot" begonia.
No two DocBlock Premier™ anthuriums are alike, and 'Round Midnight' takes its cue from the darker end of the palette — a one-of-a-kind velvet-leafed seedling from the collection bred by physician-turned-botanist Dr. Jeff Block. Yours will settle somewhere between deep red, rich purple and intense green, its venation tracing silver, white or a hint of pink across that matte, velvety surface. Give it gentle, indirect light set back from a bright window, humidity on the high side (60–80%), and a chunky mix kept evenly hydrated without becoming waterlogged.
Every collection deserves a crown jewel, and Anthurium 'Red Crystal Blush' ( Anthurium hybrid ) is happy to play the part. Each new leaf opens in a warm coppery blush, then settles into velvety deep green traced with bright silver veins, so an established plant shows several facets at once. Give it gentle, indirect light well back from a sunny window, keep the humidity up, and let the top of the soil dry between waterings. It arrives potted in a white ceramic cachepot, ready to take its place in your collection.
Introducing Chroma ‘Abidjan’, named after the vibrant city on the Ivory Coast. This Rubber Plant has sleek, ovate-shaped leaves that are so dark green, they are almost ebony. Leaves contrast with the protective red sheaths on emerging growth; midribs also display hints of red. A little leaf shine will keep your ‘Abidjan’ as striking and sophisticated as its namesake city.
Here's a stately Anthurium ( Anthurium crassinervium ) deserving of close-up admiration. Broad, leathery leaves are patterned with a network of prominent, sculptural veins and gently undulating margins, giving each leaf real presence; true to its species name that translates to “with large veins.” Native to Colombia, Venezuela, and Curaçao, this upright anthurium naturally forms a tidy, architectural rosette as it matures. Give it gentle, indirect light set back from a bright window, and frequent, light waterings to keep the soil evenly damp, never soggy, with higher humidity to help new growth unfurl at its best.
Thor’s Lightning™ ‘51’’s dramatic vein contrast pollinated by the primary-red emergent of Crystal Red™ ‘12’.
New leaves arrive in saturated red velvet, often holding the Crystal Red “red eye” at the petiole, before maturing to deep green traversed by bright, lightning-like veins along the T-shape pattern. A vivid, color-forward Premier.

Introducing Calathea ‘Rosy’ ( Calathea roseopicta ), a rose-painted prayer plant that earns its name in living color: oval, glossy leaves start pale, then deepen into a vivid rose-pink center framed by crisp dark green margins tinged with burgundy. Like its Marantaceae cousins, ‘Rosy’ folds its leaves up at night and opens them again with the morning light. This vibrant color is deepest on new growth; as ‘Rosy’ matures, expect the pink to soften toward silvery-green flecks while the dark-green framing holds steady. Give it low to medium light, water with distilled or filtered water to avoid leaf-edge browning, and let the soil stay evenly damp without drying out completely.
Calathea 'Bicajoux Gecko' ( Calathea hybrid ) doesn't need camouflage to get noticed. This bushy, rosette-forming Calathea unfurls leaves striped with striking markings, with leaf undersides that glow deep violet-burgundy in the light. Unlike most Calathea grown purely for foliage, 'Bicajoux Gecko' earns its keep twice over — bright pink flowers can appear and hold on for months, a rare bonus in this famously foliage-first family. Like other Calathea, it's a shade lover: keep it out of direct sun, let the soil stay evenly damp, and give it the humidity it thrives in, and 'Bicajoux Gecko' will keep both its leaves and its flowers on display.
Expect velvet leaves that emerge red, pass through warm bronze tones, and harden to deep green—all set against high-contrast, lightning-like vein patterning. A warm-palette Premier for the metallic-leaf collector.

The silver on this one does not speckle; it sweeps. Shimmering Falls® Brushed Tides™ is a satin pothos ( Scindapsus pictus ) whose broad, heart-shaped leaves carry wide washes of silver-grey pulled between the veins and pooled along the edges, each leaf rimmed in a bright silver line like a tide mark left on the shore. The finish is matte rather than glossy, so the shimmer stays soft. Give 'Brushed Tides' medium to bright indirect light to keep the silver vivid, and water once the top inch or two of soil dries. It trails, it climbs, and it never draws the same tide line twice.
Not every philodendron keeps its best trick on the leaf. Prismacolor™ 'Fozzie' ( Philodendron nangaritense ) saves its drama for the petioles, which flush a deep ruby red under a distinctive fuzzy texture — hence the nickname 'Fuzzy Petiole'. Round, leathery leaves emerge a startling pink and settle into glossy green as they mature. This one is a climber, so yours arrives already trained on a Climb-itt™ pole; give it low to medium light and steady humidity, and it will keep working its way up. Proof that on a Prismacolor™, the best color isn't always on the leaf.
All hail the Regal Flamingo Flower (Anthurium regale), producing some of the largest velvet foliage of any cultivated anthurium: broad, heart-shaped leaves in matte, velvety dark green, mapped with a network of pale, almost-white veins. Native to Peru's understory forests, where mature specimens ascend trees via their own aerial roots, yours arrives compact and architectural, rewarding a little patience as it settles in. Give it gentle, indirect light set back from a bright window, soil that doesn't dry out completely, and humidity on the higher end, and let it grow into its name.
If it's an Anthurium your heart desires, then look no further than Arching Amour™ 'Heart's Afire' ( Anthurium hybrid ). This velvet-leaf anthurium unfurls smooth, velveteen-soft, heart-shaped leaves sure to earn your affection — new growth blushes in bronzey-red undertones, like a heart truly afire, before aging to a resplendent dark green laced with intricate, light-colored veining. 'Heart's Afire' is epiphytic and prefers gentle, indirect light set back from a bright window, in well-draining soil; just don't let it sit in soggy soil, or its flame may burn out.
A line-defining self-cross within the Brown Derby™ ‘39’ family: Brown Derby pollinated by Brown Derby.
This pairing concentrates the clone’s signature trait, the bronzy, metallic emergent leaf, which progresses from red through warm bronze-brown to deep green across velvet leaves. A reference-quality selection for the collector building around warm metallic tones.

Briëlle™ carries a hint of shine in the name, and the DocBlock® line delivers it in velvet: a cleanly drawn, softly lustrous leaf that Dr. Jeff Block spent decades selecting for, and that turns up again and again in the DocBlock Premier™ crosses drawn from this line. This is the refined end of the collector Anthuriums, less theatrical than its dark-veined relatives and all the more composed for it. Give it gentle, indirect light set back from a bright window, keep the humidity up, and let the top of the soil dry between waterings. It arrives potted in a white ceramic cachepot.
Anthurium 'Black Velvet' (Anthurium hybrid) carries the matte, velvety surface the name promises, in the deep near-black tones that make a velvet-leaf Anthurium worth collecting. Give it gentle, indirect light set well back from a bright window, keep the humidity up, and let the top of the soil dry between waterings. It arrives potted in a white ceramic cachepot, ready to anchor the quietest corner of your collection.
Most ferns keep their best trick up in the fronds. Living Lace® Wooly Tassel™ keeps its down on the soil: this rabbit's foot fern ( Davallia fejeensis ) pairs finely cut, dark green fronds with fuzzy, light brown rhizomes that creep across the surface of the pot and dangle over the rim like little tassels. Those furry feet are the whole show, so let them wander instead of tidying them away. Keep 'Wooly Tassel' out of direct sun, which scorches the fronds, and water when the top inch of soil feels dry, never leaving it soggy. Half lace, half fringe, and entirely fern.
Every frond on Living Lace® Twirly Whirly™ seems to have made up its own mind about which way to grow. This Boston fern ( Nephrolepis exaltata ) crinkles and spirals its emerald fronds in unexpected directions, stacking into a compact, lacy crown that tops out around a foot tall. Give 'Twirly Whirly' the softer light of an east- or north-facing window, well away from midday sun, and water once the top inch of soil feels dry. Ferns like their air humid, so a pebble tray or a steamy bathroom keeps those frilly frond edges from browning. This is lace that could not sit still.
